Destination Maui! Dream wedding Kaupo, Maui, Hawaii

Jayme celebrated her 30th birthday this month and a little celebration and vacation was in order. An amazing friend of ours gifted us some fantastic standby tickets, and another friend opened her small studio to us on Maui in Lahaina. We fortunately missed Oregon’s 2nd winter storm. We enjoyed some warm weather, whale watching, swimming with turtles, and lot’s of hiking and exploring. On the final day of our trip we took the Road to Hana with our friend and when we arrived we decided to keep on going all the way around the island. It was so beautiful. We came across this hidden gem. A small catholic church dating back over 150 years in a place called Kaupo on Maui.

While exploring the church and grounds we made small talk with two men that were from the area and part of friends of St. Joseph Church Kaupo, Maui. I really wish we had more time to chat with them and hang out. They asked about us and let it be known that we could have the first wedding performed there in many, many years if we knew anyone interested. I would love to see that become a reality. Especially if we had the opportunity to be the wedding photographers.

So newlyweds to be, if you are thinking about  a destination wedding and something totally unique this could be your place. If you visit Maui and take the road to Hana, don’t turn around just keep driving. It’s worth it!

How would you like to be married here? Can you imagine?
