Melissa & Declan Wedding at Deep Woods Events, Elmira, Oregon

We first met Melissa & Declan via Skype last summer. It was a fun conversation knowing that they were in New Zealand and we were in Springfield, Oregon. The video and audio feed wasn’t the best so it was difficult trying to communicate and not step on each others words.  Melissa was from nearby Creswell, but had not been home in over a year. She had originally gone to New Zeland to be a nanny for six months. But she ended up meeting and falling in love with Declan who is from New Zealand. There love would bring two families together spanning the 2 hemispheres. Declan experienced his first ‘American Christmas’ just a few weeks before the wedding. Declan & Melissa’s pastor in New Zealand recorded a special message for them that was projected on the bring screen and played during the ceremony. Declan played a beautiful song on his guitar as Melissa walked down the aisle by her Father, Ron. It was a beautiful ceremony and the wedding toasts by the parents were very thoughtful. “Big Josh”, Declan’s good friend made sure we all laughed with his speech. The wedding was planned long distance with the help of Melissa’s made of honor Amanda Ranit and her parents Stephanie & Ron Gabaldon. Thank you so much to all of their friends and family for coming together and making this amazing wedding happen! Thank you Melissa and Declan for choosing us to be your wedding photographers!
