Shana & Micah I Queen Anne Victorian Mansion Portland, Oregon

The first time we met Shana and Micah was at the Eugene, Oregon Wedding Showcase last January. According to Shana & Micah they had been searching for just the right wedding photographers. We must’ve fit the need, they chose us to be their wedding day story tellers! (Happy Dance) Later in the year we met for an engagement session at Heceta Head Beach & Lighthouse. It was so much fun and included a really cool antique lantern, a beautiful sunset, and some photographs taken in near blackness. It was not your usual engagement session and we loved it! We met them again a few weeks later at McMenamens Edgefield to reveal the photos. We enjoyed some great conversation and drinks.

Shana & Micah decided on the Queen Anne Victorian Mansion in Portland, Oregon to be their wedding venue! It fit their style perfectly! Wow! What a great place. It was the last wedding of the season for the Queen Anne Victorian Mansion. They had the mansion & grounds from 2pm-9pm last Saturday. Oh, and the weather was beauuutifull!! How blessed! This is a quick photo preview from their wedding day. Shana & Micah chose not to do a first look which was pretty cool! It made the ceremony extra special! During the ceremony they rang a bell as a symbol of their unity. At the end of the wedding ceremony bagpipes blasted from the Piper (whose name was Pipey) as soon as they had their first kiss! For entertainment & dancing they choose a great band called Calamity Jazz. Shana’s Grandpa Mario was on the dance floor all night! Laura, the coordinator at the Queen Anne was a big help, thank you! We worked in cooperation with Star Light Films. The videographers Bryon and Ashlie were great to work alongside with and we hope to see them again in the future. The food catered by the Queen Anne Victorian Mansion was absolutely delicious!

Shana & Micah are currently honeymooning down in Yachats, Oregon for two weeks in a tiny cabin with a steam trunk full of art supplies and a crate of wine!

Feel free to share the goodness with friends & family and leave a comment or two! We might even do a second blog post or just add to this one. 😉  Thank you Shana & Micah for choosing us to be your wedding day visual story tellers.

Shana snuck a webcam into her bouquet just before the ceremony. Can you see it?

Working alongside videographers Bryon & Ashlie from Starlight Films. Sometimes working in close quarters requires yoga like moves! Maybe in the off season I will try something new 😉Wedding-Day-Portrait-Queen-Anne-Victorian-Mansion-Portland-OregonWedding-Day-Portrait-Queen-Anne-Victorian-Mansion-Portland-Oregon

This moon was very special. It was meant to symbolize her father Carl who passed away 9 years ago. Calamity Jazz provided the music!Sparkler send off!
