Celeste & Cindy I Oregon Coast Wedding Lincoln City, Oregon Part I

Cindy & Celeste celebrated their own way on Saturday the 29th. They threw an Agreement of Commitment party at a beach house in Lincoln City, Oregon. I have to say for “making it up” you two did a fantastic job! We had so much fun and can’t wait to get together the next time we come to Portland. Here is how they met and fell in love in Celeste’s own words. 🙂

Making It Up As We Go Along

We met while Cindy was working at my school, subbing long term for a teacher who had broken her hip.  I had a huge crush on Cindy right away, but she had no idea.  She just thought that I was “that red girl” because I turned tomato red every time I saw her.  We discovered how great our chemistry was a few months later over drinks and conversation in a southeast Portland bar called North.  We’ve been together ever since.

We like to make it up as we go along.  A couple of years ago, we wanted rings to show our commitment to each other, but didn’t want to call them wedding rings.  So Cindy came up with AOC, agreement of commitment.  We filed for a domestic partnership in August, and I decided to change my last name.  So this is the next step in our ever-evolving AOC.

  • […] We had so much fun with Cindy & Celeste at their agreement of commitment ceremony held at a beach house in Lincoln City. The Oregon weather cooperated magnificently for a late September Wedding at the coast. It was windy but not chilly. After the ceremony on the beach everyone gathered inside for cocktails and appetizers. Followed by a few heartfelt speeches and then they broke out the karaoke machine! The dancing and singing went on late into the night. We enjoyed the wedding so much! Family of Cindy & Celeste gathered wind that we had driven all the way from Eugene to photograph the ceremony & reception and that we were leaving for home late that night. Well they offered to let us stay at a family beach house about 20 miles away. Definitely a nice gesture and we were really thankful. The next morning we took a leisurely walk down the beach and enjoyed the late afternoon drive back to Springfield. We look forward to seeing Cindy & Celeste later this month when we head to Portland for another gig. We can’t wait! If you didn’t get a chance to see part one you can click here! […]ReplyCancel

    Jayme and Russ,

Your photos are gorgeous! We are so lucky to have found you to capture this time for us. Your warmth made us feel like we had known you before the wedding, even though we only met that evening!
