Our friends (they were our clients) but they crossed the threshold and we now call them friends, Sam & Michael married on 9/10/11 in a whimsical and beautiful DIY wedding at the brides parent’s house in Eugene. You can see that Eugene DIY wedding by clicking here. We fell in love with Sam & Mike after we met the two of them in downtown Portland for their super fun engagement session last spring. We had been looking forward to this wedding for months! The day before the wedding we were invited to come over to the rehearsal to meet family and friends. When the rehearsal was over we all went to Ambrosia for dinner. This is what we love to do. We love to tell the stories of family and friends. I guess it stems from the fact that when we flew our good friend and fabulous photographer Jason Koski and his wife Sarah out to attend and photograph our wedding 5 years ago. They were invited and attended the rehearsal dinner and activities. But I digress.
Not all photographers want to commit to photographing a rehearsal, from a business standpoint that is a potential day that could be spent at another wedding, making more money. But Jayme and I are different. We would rather give our clients the most incredible experience possible. We will let them speak for us. All of what you are doing will be forgotten unless there are photos or a video to jog your memory. I can say this because it has been 5 1/2 years and it is the photos that help us remember our own wedding day and the day before. We made a decision the coming year 2012 to add rehearsal attendance to most of our wedding packages as an added level of service to our clients.
After you look at all the photos if you want to go directly to the Ambrosia Restaurant & Bar Website click here. I am not a food critic, but the food was good, the ambiance inviting, the staff was professional, attentive, and accommodating. A positive experience. 😀
