Sam & Michael I Chic Backyard Wedding Eugene, Oregon

Samantha met us at the Oregon Wedding Showcase almost a year ago. We all hit it off right away. She is one of those rare people you can’t help but love as soon as you meet her. She seems to have this gravitational pull that only attracts awesomeness. We got to meet Michael in February when we got to hang out with the two of them for their engagement shoot. They chose the Multnomah County Library in Portland for their shoot. It was so unique and so them, it just fit. Needless to say the photos were incredible and we had a blast shooting them. It seems like we have been waiting for their wedding day FOREVER! Well, it was well worth the wait. It couldn’t have turned out any better. Thank you both so much for choosing us to be your photographers. You two are truly special people. We feel so lucky to get to call you friends. 🙂

Aaaand BREAK! Go team!

The wedding was held at Sam’s parents house in Downtown Eugene. Needless to say the guests weren’t all going to be able to park in the driveway, so they had to park the cars a few blocks away. So, being the cool people they are Sam and Mike hired pedicabs to bike them to the house. We got to take a little joyride with them at sunset. It was so much fun!

Sam & Mike had a Bunny themed wedding (long story…) 🙂 They were everywhere you looked! During the ceremony one of the bridesmaids read an excerpt from “The Velveteen Rabbit”. There were bunnies on all of the invitations and programs. The cake was even a bunny! Yes, you heard me, a bunny rabbit. Well, I guess it was more of a Voodoo bunny rabbit, but it definitely takes the top spot for COOLEST CAKE EVER!

Sam and her mother Sharon sharing a private moment just before she walked down the stairs to the ceremony.

Just stunning!

Sam’s mother walked her down the aisle and Sam’s father Michael was the officiant for the ceremony. The ceremony also takes the top spot for “Most Emotional Ceremony Ever”! There wasn’t a dry eye in the house. 🙂

They wrote their own vows. Beautiful, meaningful vows.

Mr. & Mrs.!!!!!!

You are all amazing! We had so much fun with each and every one of you. 🙂

The Sugar Beets rocked the house all night long and when they finally went home the Maid of Honor Keeley kept the party going!

They danced their first dance to Ingrid Michaelson’s “You and I” Sang live by The Maid of honor Keeley and best man Peter Koh played the ukelele. They changed the lyrics from “Lets get Rich” to “Lets get Hitched”. It was so special!  These two can really cut a rug!
